Pottery Care & Operational Policy.
We aim to make your creative journey enjoyable. The final step involves glazing and firing your pottery at over 1000˚C, handled with care by our kiln technician.
Handmade Pieces.
Handmade items can sometimes crack or explode in the kiln. Unfortunately, we cannot offer replacements for damaged pieces.
Glazing and Firing.
Occasionally, glaze spotting and surface imperfections may occur. If safe, we will attempt to fix these by re-firing the pottery.
Crazing.
Handmade pieces may develop small cracks in the glaze (crazing) over time or with exposure to boiling water. Wash well between uses and avoid using for items that could harbor bacteria. Use pottery only for its specified purpose, as some clay is suitable for dinnerware while others are for decoration only.
Care Instructions.
Finished pieces are delicate. Hand wash only and avoid microwaving as they are not microwave safe.
Understanding Ceramics.
Ceramics can be unpredictable, adding both charm and frustration. We appreciate your understanding and hope you enjoy your unique pieces!
