Book a workshop in our evolving community studio based in the West End of Newcastle upon Tyne.
In Soul Ceramiks' workshops, you will learn a range of techniques which have been passed down through ancient traditions and are still used today.
Throwing Lessons

Throw 3 pots on the wheel and choose the best one to be fired and glazed. £35 per person.

Throw 2 pots on the wheel and choose the best one to be fired and glazed. Children under the age of 12: £25 per person.

4 Sessions: £120
6 Sessions: £170
8 Sessions: £230
Includes firing and glazing of up to 8 final pieces of work, additional work will be subject to a £5 fee per piece for glazing and firing.

Depending on how many sessions you book, you can learn how to wedge clay ready for throwing, centre clay on the wheel, open up your pots, bring up the walls of pots, giving shape to your pieces, trimming, troubleshooting, and how to remove your pieces safely from the wheel head.

Quirky Plant Pot Workshop - Family Friendly

Come join us for a fun and creative plant pot workshop that is perfect for the whole family! Get your hands dirty and let your imagination run wild as you design and decorate your very own quirky plant pot. This event will be held at Costa Coffee in Kingston Park so you can enjoy a delicious drinks while you unleash your artistic side.
Price includes a medium hot drink from the classic menu board, any extras (syrups etc.) will be charged at the till - if you do not wish to have a drink please select the pottery only ticket.
Pottery workshop suitable for ages 4+, children under the age of 14 must be accompanied by a paying adult and supervised at all times.
